Purpose

• The development of strong bonds of cooperation of a research institution of excellence, such as AUTh, and the expertise bonding between University and agricultural/industrial production. KEAGRO AUTh acts as a center of capacity building and cooperation between research institutes and enterprises that surely benefit from a closer cooperation and interaction.
• The basic and applied research, the systematic study, the education, the interdisciplinary approach and assessment of data, the provision of consulting services that contribute to the enhancement of sustainable rural development and reduced input agricultural practices
• The development of training actions, information, transfer of know-how, consulting and evaluation services linked to agri-food sector
• The promotion of international activities and participation in international scientific networks and events, in order to highlight the synergies and the need for transnational and international cooperation in agri-food issues.
• The interconnection and promotion of the activities of the members of AUTh who are active centrally or regionally in matters of agri-food at all stages of production and the further promotion of its role in the interdisciplinary study of agri-food issues.
• The interconnection of the scientific potential of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki that is active in the agri-food sector with that of other research institutions in Greece and internationally.
